Purdue Extension Webinar

Incorporating climate change impact into community planning efforts

Purdue Extension Montgomery County
Educational Webinar at Crawfordsville District Public Library
Monday, September 17th 7:00-9:00 p.m.

The Purdue Extension is hosting a webinar on incorporating climate change impact in community planning efforts on Monday, September 17 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm. Climate change can involve various types of extremes in weather impacting a community. The floods of 2008 caused significant damage in many communities and gained a lot of attention. Certainly the heat and drought of 2012 is an example of severe weather extremes. Two communities will share their planning efforts for climate change in the future particularly as it deals with flooding and flood plain developments. Staff from the Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant will discuss resources available to communities for climate impact planning.

The program can be viewed at designated Extension Offices around the state. Interested viewers with DSL or faster internet connections can also view the program live.
