"A World of Color and Texture in Transparent Watercolor"

Dr. Robert Bratton (Bob) has been a practicing dentist in Carmel, Indiana for 44 years. A graduate of Indiana University with degrees of B.S. in Education and Doctor of Dental Surgery, he has had a life-long interest in art. Without formal training in art, he has taken adult-education classes, workshops, and studied watercolor with Rosemarie Southworth and J. Anna Roberts. He is a signature member of the Watercolor Society of Indiana, a member of the Hamilton County Artists Association, The Hoosier Salon, The Indiana Artists Club, Indiana Heritage Arts, and Between Paper & Palette Art Club. He has exhibited at the Indiana State Fair, The Hoosier Salon annual juried exhibit, WSI annual juried and member exhibits, Indiana Artists' Club annual juried and member exhibits, Hamilton Co. Art Center, The Carmel-Clay Public Library, Frankfort Library Holiday Show and Sale, Second Presbyterian Church, and other venues. He has won various awards for his art. He particularly likes to do representational art that highlights color and texture. Scenes that evoke memories, represent the passage of time, of architecture, and machinery are favorite subjects.
