The Graphic Novel collection at CDPL is growing!
Now you can find more of the graphic novels you love,
or discover new titles!
or discover new titles!
Recently acquired is Bill Willingham's award-winning series Fables. Winner of 14 Eisner Awards, Fables tells the story of your favorite storybook characters in a completely new way. Snow White, Rose Red, Little Boy Blue and the Big Bad Wolf lead the community of fables living in New York City against the Adversary, who has pushed them out of their Homelands and now threatens the safety of Fabletown. If you've ever wondered what happened after "happily ever after", you'll love Fables!
What if you could solve crime just by eating? In John Layman's CHEW, detective Tony Chu gets psychic impressions from everything he eats. He can take a bite of a tomato and see the dirt it grew in, the farmer who picks it, and the chef who cooked it. Or, he can eat a bite of chicken and see something else entirely. And in Tony's line of work, he has to chew some pretty unpleasant things...
Joe Hill won an Eisner Award for best writer for his series Locke and Key. Locke and Key tells of the Keyhouse, an unlikely New England mansion, with fantastic doors that transform all who dare to walk through them. The island of Lovecraft is home to a hate-filled and relentless creature that will not rest until it forces open the most terrible door of all.
And there's more! Catch up with your favorite superheroes:
Identity Crisis by novelist Brad Meltzer
Superman: Red Son by Mark Millar
Batman: Arkham Asylum by Grant Morrison
Batman: Haunted Knight by Jeph Loeb
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen by Alan Moore
